Federal Register Notices

For holdings or collections subject to NAGPRA, a Federal Register notice is published when a museum or Federal agency determines the appropriate person or group to repatriate the cultural items.

This table shows the museum or Federal agency submitting the notice, the publication date of the notice, a link to the published notice, and the total number of cultural items identified in the notice.

This table can be filtered to show either notices of inventory completion for human remains (MNI) and associated funerary objects (AFO) or notices of intent to repatriate for unassociated funerary objects (UFO), sacred objects (SO), objects of cultural patrimony (OCP), and both an object of cultural patrimony and sacred object (OCP/SO). This table can be filtered to show only a specific museum or Federal agency. The search function applies to all available fields in the table. The buttons provide different formats for downloading the data. The table can be sorted by any field by clicking on the header.
